reuse + recycle

As everyone hopefully does, we are trying the best we can to reduce our carbon footprint, and recycle and reuse as much as possible.

Some ways we do this is:

NOISSUE:

We use their 100% compostable and eco-friendly bags for shipping, if you have received a soft black satchel from us then you can plant it in the garden and it will degrade within a month.

You can also use the satchel again, as it has a second sealing strip for reuse.

Alternatively pop it in your recycling bin!

Our stickers are made with FSC-certified materials and soy-based inks. These stickers are 100% recyclable and compostable.

HEAPS GOOD PACKAGING:

Has popping bubble wrap gotten less satisfying for you, knowing it's partly responsible for 14 million metric tonnes of plastic waste ending up in the ocean every year? Yeah, us too.

We've been hard at work finding the most sustainable alternative, and we've landed on Hex Wrap. Not only is it fully compostable, it's also recyclable!

Reuse the Hex Wrap from your Miss Lou delivery box by using it in a window display, spray paint it and make giant flowers, let your imagination run riot - please post on Instagram what you have created and don't forget to tag us @the_elsuive_miss_lou so show off you Hex Wrap creations!

Even the tape we use to seal our delicious boxes is eco friendly - a world first: our bio-based Ecotape. Using a natural rubber adhesive and made from PLA, you'll never speak to plastic sellotape again.

Here for a good time and not a long time, Ecotape is certified to break down in a commercial composting facility within 60 days. Home composting takes a little longer, but Ecotape decomposes with zero toxicity, letting worms munch on the leftovers.

Unlike ugly old plastic tape, it's made from renewable materials, making it the best eco-friendly option out there.
